The Uncharted series is one of the crown jewels of Naughty Dog, aside from its yet another iconic saga, The Last of Us. Before Ellie and Joel amazed the gamers with their heart-touching tales, Nathan Drake had already won them over. And despite seeing its last entry in Uncharted 4, the hope for a possible continuation hasn’t still faded away.
Well, it seems like this hope won’t die in the future either, as Naughty Dog itself just revealed a massive update. Fans looking forward to Uncharted 5, at some point in coming years, can now take a sigh of relief. Because the developer has indirectly teased the possibility for the next part.

Uncharted 5: not a dream anymore
GamesRadar, the popular website, recently had an interaction with the members of Naughty Dog. The interview took place because of the awaited release of Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection.
While discussing tons of details on the franchise, they also mentioned that a newer installment may not seem far away. Previously, it looked as if the developer was done with the Uncharted saga. But Kurt Margenau and Sean Escayg revealed it’s not the case at all. In fact, fans might get surprised in the near future.
“I think we can say for certain that we can never say never,” said the creative director, Escayg, who was involved in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
He didn’t stop there, however, and continued.
“Yeah. Uncharted is a franchise we love – that the studio loves. I love, and Kurt loves. It’s a world we want to see more of. So I can certainly say that,” he said.
Hence, it would be reasonable to expect that an Uncharted 5 will probably happen whenever Naughty Dog’s team decides to make it.
Well, interestingly, a rumor from last year tried to claim that an Uncharted title was actually in development, but not under Naughty Dog. Moreover, the rumor also reported that Days Gone’s Bend Studio was, in fact, working on the project. But apparently, they were later removed. Since then, there’s been no news on Uncharted 5.
