In a move to expand its horizons, the league has planned an elaborate partnership with a popular Brazilian Twitch streamer, Alexandre ‘gaules’ Borba Chiqueta. The streamer boasts a massive fanbase on the platform and has garnered over 600K followers. He is a marquee name within the Brazilian Counter-Strike community and has founded a prominent gaming league.

Incidentally, the streamer has a fanbase that follows NBA keenly. This indeed played a key role in this tie-up, as the organization is trying to explore Twitch and streaming as a potential market.

NBA could stand to gain more audience by partnering with Twitch

Lokkythegamer has translated gaules’ comments about the tie-up. The 37-year-old streamer stated that research and insights found him to be a prominent figure for NBA. He also shares a common fanbase, which makes him the perfect partner.

“We discovered in a recent research that basketball is my viewers’ second most-watched sport. For this reason, we have teamed up with Budweiser and NBA to offer the public more new content. It will be a new experience for me and the Tribe, but we will learn together about this new universe.”

The streamer also has a commendable viewer base on YouTube, as he is deemed as a bit of a legend in the scene. Gaules has also stated that he would love to continue this partnership and hopes that it remains the same for a long time. He could receive the right to host a watch party on his channel, as is a common practice on the platf0rm.

Gaules was rendered speechless because of the recent tie-up

The retired professional player shared an emotional tweet to share the big news. In his tweet, the streamer shed light on his long journey towards the top and suggested that he is speechless about his recent tie-up with NBA.
