Some may argue eSports as a young people’s sport. Almost all the pro players in eSports fall in the age bracket of 17 to 35 years. This stems from many reasons; some being that eSports is a fairly new field. It requires a lot of time dedicated to it which many old generations would not prefer.

85-year-old wins in Wii bowling tournament

eSports journalist Jake Lucky recently uploaded a video of Gamers Assembly LAN. Gamers Assembly is an eSports LAN tournament being held in France since 2012. An 85-year-old man bowled a strike to win a Wii bowling tournament. Ultimately, the crowd’s reaction to the strike was one of the inspiring points of the video.

This competition is called Silver Geek, where elderly gamers from retirement homes come out and compete for a prize. Although, the prize is pale in comparison to the reactions of fans who support these elderly players on their every move in the LAN.
