Ubisoft’s Far Cry is a massive franchise. All the titles from the series have been praised extensively by fans. With Far Cry 7 next in line, Ubisoft has made it public knowledge that the Far Cry IP is getting overhauled with a focus on future plans. The franchise has a new boss, who will direct future titles.
Despite a star-studded cast, Far Cry 6 failed to follow up on the success of Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. And the new boss of the Far Cry IP will look to switch things up.

Drew Holmes is a popular name amongst Ubisoft fans. So naturally, the community is excited with the new information and many believe Ubisoft has made the right decision by giving Holmes the wheel of the ship. Holmes has worked on BioShock Infinite, which is widely regarded as one of the best first-person shooters. He’s also been a member of the teams that developed the Saint’s Row titles, making him an ideal candidate for the job of leading the development of Far Cry 7.

With Holmes at the helm, fans believe the next Far Cry will turn the tides in favor of the franchise. The previous installment dampened the fans’ feelings with a stale narrative, despite having a great actor to portray the evil Castillo. The game failed to make an impression with poor gameplay and mechanics.
