In-game files reveal a possible Halo crossover event

Veteran fans fondly remember booting up the classic titles and causing mayhem. In fact, the Warthog has become so iconic that it is synonymous with things like Master Chief’s armor, Cortona, and such. It looks like, these Warthogs have revealed something really exciting.

A Reddit user managed to access Halo Infinite’s in-game files.

Amongst other interesting skins, there is quite an interesting skin that was quick to catch fans’ attention. The first one on the left has quite a familiar color scheme. One of the protagonists of Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, sports a spacesuit with the exact same colors. The white and purple, alongside red accents in the Warthog, bear a striking resemblance to Buzz Lightyear.

Will the Crossover happen?

This is not the first time Disney has had a massive crossover with Xbox. The Popular pirate game Sea of Thieves witnessed a crossover with the fan-loved franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. The crossover involved references, content, and a new storyline. Obviously, the crossover was easy considering the overlapping themes between the two pieces of media.

Considering that Buzz Lightyear and Halo have overlapping themes as well, an elite space commando fighting against tyranny and destruction in the galaxy, a crossover between these two does not seem completely unfeasible.

Adding to that, the timing of the leak is quite fitting as well. The Buzz Lightyear movie is set to release in June this year. Perhaps this crossover event will act as a promotional campaign for the movie as well.

Video game crossovers have witnessed a surge since popular battle royale title Fortnite has started its conquest of working alongside multiple franchises. These include the likes of The Avengers, Rick and Mort, and Naruto as well.
