When is the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II beta happening?

According to the latest leak by Ralph Valve, a notable CoD informant, Modern Warfare II’s open beta is scheduled to happen in September, which is just a month early from the launch. With this revelation, some fans wonder whether Infinity Ward will be able to address the bugs reported during the open-beta phase by the official release date.

Previously, an Amazon product listing for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II had given out August as the month for open beta, possibly from August 15. However, the new rumor suggests a different plan. According to Ralph Valve, the expected dates for Modern Warfare II’s open beta are the following:

Weekend 1 (for PlayStation 4 and 5)
Early Access: September 15th – 16th
Open Beta: September 17th – 19th

Weekend 2 (for other platforms plus cross-play)
Early Access: September 22nd – 23rd
Open Beta: September 24th – 26th

Players who pre-ordered the game will get access to open-beta.

These are, of course, tentative dates for now. Moreover, fans should take such information with a pinch of salt as there’s no official confirmation of the same.

An open beta period one month before the actual release could prove to be burdened the development team. However, as Call of Duty Modern Warfare II was reportedly in development for 2 years now, the team probably has everything under control.
