New Sighting Teases Secret Nintendo Motive For the Next Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave

Mario fans are still awaiting the second wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. The much-anticipated Booster Course Pass Wave 2 is going to feature a bunch of new tracks, giving Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a much-needed boost of freshness. According to Nintendo, the booster course is supposed to be released in 6 waves, out of which only 1 has been made available so far.
The first wave of the Booster Course Pass launched in March 2022. Nintendo mentions that the entire DLC will release by the end of the year. However, it’s been 4 months since the first wave. As of now, the next wave of remastered tracks is long due for fans. Well, a new leak suggests that the next wave may drop this week, ending the long wait.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC: When is the next wave?
According to speculation by SwitchForce, a prominent informant for Nintendo on YouTube, the next wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass may drop this Friday. He said this on the basis of 2 3-day Mario Kart tournaments that Nintendo of America announced yesterday.

SwitchForce pointed out that Nintendo had announced a Mario Kart 8 tournament and released the first wave a week before the tournament commenced. So, by that pattern, it is possible that the Japanese publisher is planning to do the same again.

The first 3-day tournament is slated to happen from 07/22 to 07/24. On the other hand, the second one will happen from 07/29 and end on 07/31. In that case, the much-anticipated second wave of Booster Course Pass may either drop this week on 07/15 (before the first tournament) or next week on 07/22 (before the second tournament).
Nintendo plans to release the DLC in 6 waves by the end of 2023. Alongside this, the console and video game giant has also announced plans to release several premium titles in the upcoming months.

What does the Deluxe Booster Course Pass come with?
Available for free to Nintendo fans with a Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass comes with 48 remastered courses for the game. Fans can enjoy go-karting across real-world-based maps and also some iconic Mario locations like Choco Mountain and Coconut Mall.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is not a free DLC. So, players without a Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership can grab it for an additional cost of $25.
