Fans have been long anticipating a new Sonic game. Sonic Stadium‘s news on SEGA’s trademark application seemed like a relief for many fans. The community confirmed that Sega published this trademark application on Chizai Watch, a Japanese trademark website. This trademark was filed and applied on 23rd June. Reports suggested that SEGA filed their application adding many categories, which are education and entertainment, toys, clothing, appliances, and machines.

Fans are speculating that toys, paper, and appliances might hint toward the game merchandise. Overall, Sonic players were convinced that SEGA’s trademark application was most definitely for a game. This trademark exclusively mentioned that it is for a product like commodity service programs, which can be used in home television machines. Fans spotted similar signs of game trademarks on the file.

Apart from ROM cartridge specs and optical disks, SEGA’s trademark includes interesting information as well. This product will run on mobile platforms too. It totally felt as if SEGA dropped a bomb on Sonic fans this time.
