Want to become a Pokemon Puzzle Master? Well, you can become so now on your Nintendo Switch! Nintendo has just released another classic N64 game on the Switch for fans to enjoy.

As its name suggests, Pokemon Puzzle League is a game based on puzzles, strategies and, of course, cute Pokemons! The original game came back in 2000, exclusively for Nintendo 64 systems. Last month, Nintendo added another classic of the name Pokemon Snap to the N64 collection. With Pokemon Puzzle League’s entry, the N64 collection on Switch now offers 17 N64 games to fans.

Pokemon Puzzle League announcement made several fans happy

Several fans felt the nostalgia hit them as the announcement for Pokemon Puzzle League was made. Many recalled how the strategic Pokemon Puzzler was a fun part of their childhood. The best thing about the game is that there’s no need to be a Pokemon enthusiast to enjoy it!

According to the official description, players will get to play as the iconic Ash Ketchum from the Pokemon Animated Series. Not only him, but several other iconic characters like Brock and Misty will also appear in Pokemon Puzzle League. Players will have to brainstorm and solve puzzles in order to defeat trainers and become the Pokemon Puzzle Master!

Is a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack required?

All N64 games on Switch are only available via a subscription to Switch Online + Expansion Pack. As a result, players will have to subscribe to the service in order to play Pokemon Puzzle League on their Switch. Also, note that the basic Switch Online subscription only gives access to NES and SNES games. Pokemon Puzzle League will not be available with the basic Switch Online subscription.

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is great for those who play a lot of games on their Switch. The service includes free DLCs and access to N64 and Sega Genesis games, alongside the basic Switch Online features. It’s available at $50 per year for an individual subscription, while a family subscription is available at a much more nominal price of $80 per year for 8 accounts.

According to Nintendo, they will be adding more such games like Pokemon Puzzle League to Switch’s N64 library with time. Players will be able to access all N64 games from a dedicated app on their Switch system.
