These amazing NPCs serve as the most attractive aspect of the title, which ropes in new fans from the world over. Naturally, the community soon finds their favorites, as each one is quite unique from the rest. Nintendo has inserted a lot of time in designing each villager’s personality and how they communicate.

This gives them all a distinct behavior that will not be seen in any other character, making them quite fascinating. The studio even built an elaborate trading card system in the form of amiibo cards that fans collect. These collectibles allow you to invite a particular villager to your island and you can even be used to trade with other fans and gain your desired NPC. However, in the latest bid to enhance the title, even more, the developers have added a new feature that will allow you to display villagers as your profile picture.

Animal Crossing New Horizon has enabled villager profile pictures

Profile photos are an important part of customizing your account and previously it did not allow fans to add villager photos. However, with the latest changes, this will now become possible for fans to accomplish. There is just one catch; gamers need to have Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access this new feature.

Step-1: Head to Nintendo Switch Online and open your desired user profile.

Step-3: You can purchase your desired Animal Crossing villager photo in exchange for Nintendo platinum coins that you can earn by purchasing games and other means.

Step-4: Redeem your favorite villager and head to the icon collection

Step-5: From this tab head to icon elements, and customize your villager icon to be used as your profile picture.

Nintendo has been seriously hampered the community’s ability to gain the profile icon of the desired villager. The online service should not charge anything extra for this feature as players are already paying for the live subscription. This is something the studio should definitely look into.
