And now, the same game has topped the charts in the United Kingdom for fourteen days straight.

On September 9, 2022, Nintendo finally released its most awaited game, Splatoon 3, on Nintendo Switch. The game finally came out after months of hype as the franchise delayed it enough.

Initially, it was to be released around May, but the franchise was hampered with its dates as they wanted to focus more on Xenoblade 3. As a result, they dropped an expansion pack for Splatoon 2, making fans wait longer for their desired title. 

But, after months of anticipation and delay, the Japanese giant finally released the game, gifting fans what they wanted for a long time. And to their surprise, the game has been doing quite well right in the first two weeks.

It just feels nice when your hard work pays off, right? Well, that is what the Splatoon 3 developers are feeling. Their game has been ruling over the gaming charts for two weeks straight, despite the massive competition.

For those uninitiated, Splatoon 3 dropped as a prequel to its 2017 edition, which came out on Nintendo Switch. As a result, their unique idea worked out well with sales as the game “became the fastest selling Switch game within just three days of its launch.”

Apart from that, it is currently rocking the UK charts, sitting firmly at the top position for two weeks straight.

With Splatoon 3 bringing home the bread, Nintendo is having one of the best business years in its history. After all, they have not just been successful with Splatoon, as five of their titles have ranked in the Top 10 list. Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo Switch Sports, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus are helping the franchise churn massive profits.

So, it is only time that will help us understand what Nintendo has planned for its future. Plus, they have some interesting games on the way, proving to be a bonus for the coming years.
