Most fans didn’t expect Pratt to be cast in the Mario role and even questioned Nintendo and the director’s decision. This resulted in vast criticism which penetrated the loving Nintendo community. However, after viewing Chris Pratt in action as Mario, many fans took back their harsh words.

One fan said, ” I think he did a uniformly great job with both his slightly toned down approach, and even the moments where he goes full Mario. Well done.” Whereas another comment read, ” The way they introduced Mario and his voice was perfect. Glad I never hopped on the hate train.”
