The Fortnite community is one of the biggest fan bases of any game. Epic Games’ incredibly popular title has tons of features and scope that make fans pour thousands of hours into the game. Fortnite is so popular among its fans that the developers have managed to collaborate with multiple popular franchises to introduce tons of new materials now and then. Now, fans demand a collab the developers have left out for too long. The community believes that Nintendo is the last frontier that needs to be ventured into by Epic Games.

The Japanese gaming giants are a powerhouse on their own, and the fans’ demands are not entirely unjustified.

Fortnite collabs set industry standards

Fans have often criticized Fortnite as being lackluster in terms of putting out new materials. Epic Games regularly faced allegations of stagnation. To change this image, the devs sought to introduce a load of new stuff with the Chapter 4 Season 3 update of Fortnite. Dynamic fresh changes in the gameplay and gunplay mechanics with new skill sets kept fans busy for hours. Along with this, some stunning new collaboration efforts were also dropped with the update, including joint ventures with Nike and a speculated collab with Skyrim V: The Elder Scrolls.

Hundreds of other names, including DC Comics, Marvel, and other popular shows or movies, have been featured multiple times on Fortnite. This is easily the marker of the popularity of the title. Yet, one name has been mysteriously missing all these times from Fortnite Island, despite many considering it to be a missed opportunity.

Now, a Twitter post has sparked a fan request that the community rallied behind.

A joint project between Nintendo and Fortnite?

In a recent post on Twitter, user Shiina writes, “Nintendo collaborations in Fortnite really are the last “big door” that hasn’t been opened to this day“. The Japanese company has hundreds of characters that would match the high-energy vibe of Fortnite. Many believe a collaboration effort between Nintendo and Fortnite will be of epic proportions. The tweet has stirred up the community, which seems to be excited by such a prospect.

To this proposal, one fan has already a clear idea as to what they expect from such a venture.
