Animal Crossing: New Horizons recently had its two-year anniversary on March 20, 2022. Indeed, it’s a big day for any New Horizons fans and they were expecting a lot of anniversary rewards from developers.

Nintendo disappoints fans with no in-game rewards on Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ two-year anniversary

After selling huge millions of units on Nintendo Switch, ACNH has truly created an enormous impact on the community. Therefore, it was understandable that players were having huge expectations for New Horizons’ two-year anniversary. Interestingly, Doom Eternal and New Horizons share the same initial release date.

Shockingly, Doom Eternal released a two-year anniversary cake for its users, while ACNH offered nothing. Because of the developer’s ignorance towards the fanbase, several creators didn’t support Nintendo for their behavior. Moreover, YouTuber SwitchForce mentioned developers didn’t release any anniversary cake as they did for one-year anniversary.

In the video, he mentions, ” You are joking, right? Two years, 40 million copies, changing the world for so many people devoted fan base that buys the heck out of the merch, bought the heck out of the game, recommends it to their friends, gets the expansion pack, grabs DLC, plays thousand of hours. Not even a cake.”
