And Pokemon has been one of the biggest among them. But, in a recent interview with the Financial Post, Nintendo of Canada’s Susan Pennefather apologized for its recent-popular games.

Nintendo Canada’s GM apologizes for the Pokemon games

Nintendo has brought in many exceptional titles during its course. And games themed around the popular franchise Pokemon have gotten tremendous responses from the gaming community. These pushed the company to produce game after game in regard to the popularity of the franchise. And thus, fans got to witness the release of the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The Scarlet and Violet was an innovative approach given to the Pokemon world by Mindfreak and Nintendo. Released for the Switch in November 2022, the game was anticipated to be a record hit. Being the first installments in the ninth generation of the Pokemon franchise, these open-world games had skyrocketed expectations.

Though the gameplay was liked by many, there was an excitement hindering factor behind the game. Scarlet and Violet had a lot of glitches, which eventually ruined many players’ experience and expectations.

The open-world mechanisms were widely appreciated, and the story was well received. But the rampant bugs and glitches during the release hindered the response from the community.

“We absolutely apologize. Because it is so important to give players a positive experience with our games, and when this doesn’t happen we do take it very much to heart,” stated Susan Pennefather regarding the unpleasant occurrences within the game.

It is always a good gesture from the company when someone within the sphere of control acknowledges the flaws that were pointed at by the consumers. Pennefather’s response will surely ignite hope in the hearts of the fans.

“What I can say is the feedback from players has absolutely been taken very seriously. And we are working on improvements to these games,” she added, giving additional hope and trust to the company.

This acknowledgment and apology will make the fans not lose trust and hope in their favorite franchise. We can expect some changes and patches to come to the currently existing Pokemon games, and with the assurance from Nintendo Canada’s personnel, players will surely expect more dynamic games in the near future.
