Two years after the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it still remains a fan-favorite social simulation video game. It rose to glory during the pandemic when the whole world was shut down. Then ACNH became the medium for hosting social activities like anniversaries and birthdays.

But despite its enormous popularity, many Animal Crossing fans declared the 2020 game dead. The reason behind such claims is the lack of updates. The last major update for this game came out a year ago. The only thing that kept it alive was the fan’s imagination, using which they created unique Dream Islands. But recently, there have been reports about a holiday DLC update for the social simulation game.
