While Nintendo is witnessing huge success with its amazing titles on the Switch, it seems like it has found a formula for swaying the players on other platforms as well. At least that’s what the latest report has revealed regarding the Japanese giant.
Going by the recent information, Nintendo has found its first mobile game amassing total spending of $1 billion. Well, this record-setting title is Fire Emblem Heroes.

In case anyone missed to keep track, the title was originally launched five years ago in 2017. Developed by Intelligent Systems, it was offered on the iOS and Android systems. Basically, it’s a spin-off of the Fire Emblem series featuring a wide array of characters.

Players control a team of up to four characters (or Heroes) in this tactical RPG. They go against the enemy teams, comprising of different sizes, on a grid map.
Now speaking of its recent accomplishment, as reported by Sensor Tower, Fire Emblem Heroes is the first mobile title from Nintendo to generate total spending of $1 billion. In terms of comparison, it’s ahead of Nintendo’s other hits like Mario Kart Tour and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Both of them are in the second position, combined when it comes to the amount of in-game spending on mobile.

Moreover, the report also stated that Fire Emblem Heroes has become the most successful title in its franchise to date across platforms.
Well, this news was bound to receive praise from the fans as well. As soon as the information spread across social media, many people began dropping their reactions to this massive achievement of Nintendo on the mobile platform.
It seems like the majority of the fans want the Japanese giant to focus more on making new mobile titles in the future. They think that the market is huge for the Mario maker. Other users simply admired the amazing milestone by Fire Emblem Heroes.
Nintendo has their mobile juggernaut. I just wish they'd kept Dragalia and we'd get a Kirby Rhythm game or Zelda tower defense game. That'd be super neat. Animal crossing and FEH is still fun, though.
