Nintendo Switch tops Japan with 25 million sold units, alongside Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ 7.26 million wonder

Ever since its debut in March 2017, the Switch has gained unprecedented popularity among gaming lovers. Thanks to a growing library of supported titles, this console never misses in impressing its owners.

Now a recent report from Famitsu has revealed that Nintendo Switch has gone past 25 million sales in Japan, the home of the Mario maker. Simply put, the console has now sold over 25 million units in the Asian country. That’s a remarkable achievement for this device, being in its sixth year of launch.

Moreover, Nintendo’s popular online simulation hit Animal Crossing: New Horizons also emerged as a major winner in Japan. The insanely famous game has now sold over 7.26 million units in the country. Not to mention that it’s the top-selling title in the region. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ended up at the second spot with 4.89 million units sold.

It’s set to release later this year for the Switch.
