Valve mistakenly shows the Nintendo Switch emulator in the Steam Deck promo

In a now-deleted promo video by Steam Deck, it seems as if Valve slipped up big time as they accidentally showed the icon of the popular Nintendo Switch emulator Yuzu in it. This was then noticed by Twitter influencers and video game insider Nibel, who tweeted, “Valve’s new official video for the Steam Deck has a very interesting game icon in it.

Although the promo was later changed, it did spark a debate on the internet, where fans thoughts that Nintendo might file a lawsuit against Steam Deck for piracy. The basic idea of an official emulator can be the fact that consoles are permanent pieces of technology that can be played and maintained for years. However, the software or the video games themselves are renewable, this means that if the games can be ported from Steam Deck to Nintendo Switch or vice-versa, it might help in the sales of those games immensely.

Apart from this, it will also open the gateway to a different kind of industry where the developers will try to make games for the Deck and the Switch.
