Nintendo Switch Mention in a Steam Deck Advertisement Might Be A Potential Move

A recent incident that brought a lot of speculation around it was when Steam Deck accidentally showed their latest promo but had a special “Nintendo” icon in it. This has made the internet go crazy over the fact that it doesn’t seem like a mistake but more like an intentional move.
As a console war emerges in the industry, fans get to witness a new type of slip-up. But are these mishaps really happening because of misunderstanding or are they a hint towards a potential ‘understanding’?

Valve mistakenly shows the Nintendo Switch emulator in the Steam Deck promo
In a now-deleted promo video by Steam Deck, it seems as if Valve slipped up big time as they accidentally showed the icon of the popular Nintendo Switch emulator Yuzu in it. This was then noticed by Twitter influencers and video game insider Nibel, who tweeted, “Valve’s new official video for the Steam Deck has a very interesting game icon in it.”

Although the promo was later changed, it did spark a debate on the internet, where fans thoughts that Nintendo might file a lawsuit against Steam Deck for piracy. But the matter of fact is, it will be actually more beneficial for both of them if they come to a mutual understanding and develop an official emulator that can allow games from both consoles to be played on either one of them.

But the question is, will both of them will be so generous towards each other, or will they play it like they always do? Although the probability of them conflicting over this is high, a slight chance of them making a decision for the betterment of their sales can be a great opportunity for them both.

The basic idea of an official emulator can be the fact that consoles are permanent pieces of technology that can be played and maintained for years. However, the software or the video games themselves are renewable, this means that if the games can be ported from Steam Deck to Nintendo Switch or vice-versa, it might help in the sales of those games immensely.
Apart from this, it will also open the gateway to a different kind of industry where the developers will try to make games for the Deck and the Switch.
