The FTC vs. Microsoft trial seemed a true treasure trove for gamers. From Xbox’s prediction about PS5’s price hike to Nintendo‘s upcoming next-generation console, this trial revealed exclusive industry insiders for fans.

Following Gamescom 2023, developers’ demonstrations ignited more spark surrounding Switch 2’s release. Now this trial revealed that Nintendo Switch 2 will be as powerful as Xbox One or PS4. 

Microsoft’s Activision trial reveals performance details about the upcoming Switch 2

Apart from many crucial details, Microsoft’s recent trial regarding Activision revealed Switch 2’s prediction about a great specification. It confirmed that Activision Blizzard was informed about next next-generation Switch console in 2022. And Microsoft’s internal emails showed Bobby Kotick, an activation executive, met Nintendo for its upcoming console development. Activision’s Head of Platform Strategy and Partner Relations further prepared an exclusive document which was labelled as NG switch draft.

In this document, an upcoming Switch was demonstrated, which will be equally powerful as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox OneGiven the closer alignment to Gen8 platforms in terms of performance and our previous offerings on PS4 / Xbox One, it is reasonable to assume we could make something compelling for the NG Switch as well. It would be helpful to secure early access to development hardware prototypes and prove that out nice and early.”

The trial brought up how Nintendo’s CEO Shuntaro Furukawa was sad about rejecting COD on Switch 2. He also revealed an agreement with Microsoft, which might fruitfully lead to Call of Duty’s shipping to Nintendo consoles in the future. Now that Eurogamer spoke about trusted developers getting an early glimpse of Switch 2 at Gamescom 2023, fans became pretty confident about a next-generation Switch console hitting the market soon.

Predicted specifications of Nintendo Switch 2

Despite any official confirmation, leaks claimed that developers are likely going to offer an 8-inch LCD screen with 512 GB internal memory. Further, this source speculated that Switch can change its storage format by transitioning to 3D NAND. And now that the Gamescom 2023 reports heavily hinted at Switch 2’s release in 2024, fans are losing their sleep.

Nintendo fans hope that Switch 2 might completely solve the backward compatibility issue. And they are hoping for a brand-new 3D Super Mario Bros. title.
