Games like Uncharted and God of War are Sony’s exclusive properties. So, gamers had to buy PlayStation to enjoy these games. The same goes for Halo and Forza series, which help with Xbox sales, and Pokemon and Mario games do it for Nintendo. So, this question will arise of what will happen if the ‘Wall of Exclusiveness’ falls.

Sony ported the Spider-Man game to PC four years after its release on PlayStation, which didn’t affect their console’s sales. They have already earned the majority of the profit in the four years. So porting the famous game to another platform helped them make more money rather than bear a loss.

Recently, other companies like Microsoft also shared their games like Minecraft, which was an Xbox and PC exclusive, with Nintendo Switch. Further, there have been rumors about an Xbox Game Pass for Switch. Also, PlayStation hit Death Stranding would be soon available in the Xbox Game Pass.
