Now to celebrate the release of the film, Chris Pratt recently received a gift from the creators of the Super Mario Bros. movie. And well, he got a surprise of his own from the gift.

Chris Pratt has an ‘accident’ with the Super Mario Bros. gift

Commemorating the release of the Super Mario Bros. movie, the creators of the movie sent a gift to Chris Pratt. He did an unboxing of this gift for his Twitter followers. It was the recognized memorabilia from the Super Mario Bros. games, a gold coin. While talking about the gold coin, Pratt shared his story of when he used to steal coins from wishing wells to play the Nintendo game. Now the voice of Mario, Pratt believes this incident of stealing led to him eventually getting the role.

Pratt had a hilarious misunderstanding with the gift when he thought the coin he received was made out of chocolate. “I love chocolate,” Pratt exclaimed before taking a sizable bite from the gold coin.

Turns out the coin was actually made out of metal. This misunderstanding did not harm Pratt as many fans believe this was just a comedy skit. Only Pratt can reveal whether this was real or not in the future.

Fans react to the Pratt’s accident

Fans are having a good chuckle at the expense of Pratt’s accident. User @CDoGmAAn has come in support of Pratt saying he would also try to bite this coin himself if he got one.

The official Twitter handle of the Mario movie also commented on Pratt’s unboxing. They considered this to be a level-up in the unboxing game.

Many fans have not got the joke, still or are still skeptical about whether it was real or not. User @left_handman commented sarcastically on the fact that Pratt was holding it in his hands as should have realized it was metal.
