Fortnite Shockwave Hammer removal and nerfs

Fortnite Chapter 4 was released in December 2022. The new update was received with much love and excitement from the fans. This update had a lot to offer to the players. It introduced Dirt Bikes into the game, the Excalibur rifle, and newer POIs. One of the most interesting one among them was the Fortnite Shockwave hammer.

This was a deadly weapon. It could even knock out enemies with a single shot. Players could bounce from place to place with the unique ability this new weapon offered. But with this, glitches also started to pop out. Players could bounce off the map or to a ridiculous amount of distance by using the hammer. These glitches were getting too out of hand and Epic Games had to disable the feature.

Epic Games re-enabled the hammer after a day or so, stating that they made necessary adjustments to the hammer.

But soon yet another sad news hit the fans of the game. The adjusted Shockwave hammer was nerfed.

Some players claimed that the developers at this point are just running behind economic gain and are not taking the player’s emotions and satisfaction into consideration.

Some people were also seen in support of the nerfs and even wanted more adjustments for the hammer.

Both ways, this Chapter has been a prime talk point in Fortnite’s career and the conversations regarding the glitches and adjustments will surely continue for a bit.
