In recent times, God of War: Ragnarok, Sony’s fastest-selling first-party title, made its debut on Playstation 5. With all the success and much more to come, it seems like the console is in a very good spot. However, fans on the other hand think that this next-gen console is yet to reach its peak.

PlayStation 5 seems to be far from needing an update

Sony PS5 users seem to be pretty satisfied with the current console. Commenting on the tweet, users had a lot to say about the visual fidelity of games that are released on it.

It is a common perception amongst gamers that the PlayStation 5 is yet to see a game that makes full use of its power. As of now, most games that are released on the console are cross-gen, meaning there are very few exclusive games for PS5. Cross-gen games are those that release for both Playstation 4 and 5 at the same time.

They even said that they wanted it to be a perfect send-off to PS4 hence they focused more on Playstation 4 during the game’s development.

Hence, fans are still waiting for what they call a “Real PS5 game”. And this is why many have inclined towards not wanting a Playstation 5 Pro console. The Pro version of any console signifies the fact that it is more capable and powerful than its non-pro version and can run games better. Fans believe that there is no game to take advantage of a Pro console, as of now.

Users are not ready for a Mid-generation console upgrade

Playstation fans made it clear that before seeing a Mid-gen refresh, they would want to see what the current PlayStation 5 is capable of.

Meanwhile, some users showed interest in the need for a Slim version of the console, rather than the Pro. “I would buy a Slim, not Pro,” commented a user.
