Give way Half-Life 3, Valve is working on something different altogether. A recent rumor suggests that the legendary developer and publisher and PC’s largest platform holder is currently working on a very exciting new title.

The new game by Valve is called Neon Prime. Here’s all the information that fans have gleaned till now. Primarily, this third-person game would be a highly stylized mix of Overwatch, TF2, Dota 2, and Teardown. The class-based shooter would feature some base-building elements and would be based on a huge map that players would traverse through using riding trains.

It will feature both PVE and PVP modes. And like any other of Valve’s titles such as Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead games, every class would have a lot of personality.

The biggest thing about this game is that it would be set in the Half-Life universe, just like the Portal and Team Fortress games. It is also being said that this game would have some elements similar to Team Fortress and Brothers in Arms games.

Here’s hoping this game ends up being much more than yet another hero shooter that it obviously seems like. This genre is already somewhat overcrowded and one more game, even if it is from Valve, would not make it any livelier. Fans can only hope that Valve is working on a single-player experience too. For that confirmation, though, fans would have to wait a little longer.
