What if we told you at one point, Top gun filmmaker Tony Scott was planning to direct an adaptation of Grand Theft Auto starring Eminem? It sounds like a dream team. But Rockstar games’ Sam Houser was not very interested in this project and rejected it with two words “Not Interested.”

GTA producer Just Said “Not Interested”
According to Kirk Ewing, an agent who said in a podcast that he was close to Sam Houser in the early 2000s, he and Rockstar Founder talked about this a whole night once.
“Because of the relationship that I had with Rockstar and I had with Sam, I actually tracked him down to his hotel room one night where I knew he was going to be staying for a while, and the two of us stayed up late and talked about the possibility of making a film.”

“This was just after Grand Theft Auto 3. And I think at that point, it was still in Sam’s mind that it might be something that he wanted to do.”

Kirk further says that he then got a call from producers who had Tony Scott all ready to direct and the Rap God Eminem himself prepared to star in a GTA movie. Kirk instantly called Sam Houser with the news but only got “Not Interested” as an answer.

Interesting details revealed about GTA 6
Other than a movie based on Rockstar’s multimillion-dollar selling franchise, there’s a lot more going on. Recently a hacker leaked a bunch of details on Rockstar’s upcoming game GTA 6, along with multiple Pre-Alpha gameplay videos. Effectively revealing to everyone that it would be set in Vice City.
