Bayonetta 3 was teased 4 years ago and has left fans wanting more ever since. The Nintendo-published game was briefly teased at The Game Awards in December 2017, and the devs have been really quiet ever since.

Nintendo has opened up about the silence surrounding the release of the game and gave a rather complacent answer when asked about it.

It does not seem likely that gamers can expect its release in 2021 and here is what the series creators have to say regarding this.

When will Bayonetta 3 release?

The creator of the series Hideki Kamiya had teased a small reveal for the series earlier this year. However, there are no signs of the series arriving anytime soon.

Kamiya asked the fans to forget about Bayonetta 3 for a while. He affirmed this by saying, ” I kind of need to keep to that stance for now because ultimately, it’s not our decision what to say and when to say it.”

Platinum Games’ studio head Atsushi Inaba further reassured that there is nothing to worry about as everything is OK.

Despite the announcement being four years ago, Nintendo confirmed in June that the game is still in development.

Kamiya said that while the developers are very much eager to let fans have a glimpse of Bayonetta 3, the decision still lies in the hands of publishers Nintendo. He said, “Everyone who is working on the project is of course very proud of what we’re doing and wants everyone to see what we’re doing.”

Platinum Studios head Atsushi Inaba hinted that the title will be one of those high-quality games, given the silence surrounding it.
