Mortal Kombat 1 stands as one of the year’s most-awaited releases. The newest entry of this renowned fighting game series is going to launch on September 19 on Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.

The character roster always gets the most hype among Mortal Kombat fans. Fans are already excited with the confirmation of DC characters like Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and others making an entry into the MK universe. Now the excitement level is going to reach a whole new level with another announcement.

Four Classic Characters Make a Comeback

Recently, Ed Boon, the Creative Director of NetherRealm Studios (the development team behind MK1), shared a tweet announcing the return of four iconic Mortal Kombat characters: Sindel, General Shao, Motaro, and Shujinko. Boon has also shared a gameplay trailer for these four characters and how they conquer the Mortal Kombat 1 platform.

In this exciting trailer of Mortal Kombat 1 named “Rulers of Outworld”, we can see Raiden is welcomed as Earthrealms’s champion. The excitement reaches its peak when we see Raiden get paired up with Shujinko, Sindel, and Motaro. Shao is seen here as the supreme ruler of Outworld’s army.

According to the trailer of Mortal Kombat 1, Shujinko and Motaro will be returning as Kameo Fighters in the latest Mortal Kombat. But Sindel and General Shao will be full-time playable characters.

The powerful tyrant of Outworld, General Shao, also made his debut in Mortal Kombat 3. He made his first return in Mortal Kombat (2011) as an NPC final boss.

Motaro the Centaurian also made his debut in Mortal Kombat 3.

Last but not least, Shujinko entered the MK universe through Mortal Kombat: Deception as the main protagonist of Konquest Mode.
