Following a long wait, Gotham Knights’ fans just received an official release date announcement. And fortunately, the game is not going to get delayed; it’s coming in 2022 itself. Additionally, this might turn out to be a positive thing regarding the future of another WB release, Hogwarts Legacy.
According to the official Twitter account of Gotham Knights, the DC superhero title is launching on October 25th this year. Previously, there were rumors of its extended delay, but now there is full clarity on this matter. Plus, it may imply that Warner Bros. may eventually roll out Hogwarts Legacy in 2022 as well, without pushing it any further.

Can fans of Hogwarts Legacy take a breath of relief after Gotham Knights’ release date reveal?
In case you don’t know, Gotham Knights is a co-op superhero game. It features four playable characters: Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing. After Batman’s death, these individuals will carry the legacy of The Dark Knight forward in this action adventure’s storyline set in Gotham city.
It will be an open-world title, with players having the choice of either going through it solo or with a partner.
Now that its release date is secured, after a year of delay, another anticipated WB project in Hogwarts Legacy might be the next one to receive a proper release date. At least there seems to be a possibility.
Because there were many doubts about Gotham Knights‘ launch window for the past few months. With a new date announced, though, it now looks set to arrive before year-end.
Going by this pattern, a similar announcement could be made for Hogwarts Legacy soon. If the developing team at Avalance has already finished working on it, there should be no reason to delay it.
Plus, various reports so far have also indicated that the magical open-world project might release around September or October. But again, taking everything with a grain of salt is crucial.
Still, after the confirmation on Gotham Knight, things look hopeful. Especially for those fans who just want to get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy.
