The Icon series for Fortnite is one of the most loved series which gives fans access to their favorite stars in the Battle Royale game. The series has previously featured huge names such as streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins, pop star Ariana Grande, and Tennis legend Naomi Osaka. The latest person to join this list is someone who has made the United States proud by winning two gold medals at the Beijing Winter Olympics. It’s none other than snowboarder Chloe Kim and the 21-year-old has revealed what has inspired her to design the Dragon Glider.

The Fortnite Icon series is indeed very proud to host one of the American pride in their boastful list of celebrity skins. Epic has launched a series of outfits and accessories in the game which includes four outfit styles, a dragon Glider, icy wings, a frozen pickaxe, and a Board Flair Emote.

One of the key elements that have been an inspiration for her is the Zodiac sign of the Dragon. The zodiac sign was one of the most preferred elements from her father during her childhood and forms a major part of her memory growing up.

She says, ” I was very strong about the dragon. I really wanted my Glider to be a dragon because I’m a 2000 baby and that’s my Chinese zodiac sign. Growing up, my dad always made references to that so I knew I had to have a dragon somewhere. I’m so happy with the Glider because it’s so sick.”

She further adds, “I  remember talking to the Fortnite team about what that meant to me. When that came to life, it was so exciting. And honestly, I love designing stuff, so this was another one of those moments where I could get creative by working with a group of amazing, talented people who helped bring my vision to life.”

This is indeed really exciting to see some of the youngest sports stars getting traction and platform through highly accessible media outlets such as video games, especially Fortnite.
