Marvel is all set to give tribute to the legacy of the Godfather of all Marvel superheroes, Stan Lee with a Disney+ original documentary series. Stan Lee’s influence in the superhero world can be felt even to this day. His amazing writing skills combined with his sharp wit shaped Marvel and helped it become the Box office overlords that it is today.

The charming veteran comic book writer was immortalized in phases 1 to phase 3 of the highly successful MCU movies, where he used to make brief cameos in every single one of them. But Marvel is all set to take the legacy of the legend to new heights with a Disney+ original documentary that will delve into the life of the legend.
Marvel announces their tribute to the Legend
Even after his demise in 2018, Stan Lee’s presence was present through ester eggs in the newer entries in the Marvel Universe, such as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Spider-Man: No Way Home, WandaVision, and more. Interestingly, in a past report, it was revealed that Marvel had a 20-year deal with Stan Lee Universe.
This deal enabled Marvel to use Lee’s likeness and name in their projects such as TV Shows, movies, merchandise and theme park rides, and more. Thus, making Stan’s presence felt for another two decades. And now with this documentary, the fans will finally get to know the story behind one of the greatest storytellers of his generation.
The description of the trailer said, “100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee. Stan Lee, an Original documentary, is streaming 2023 on Disney+.” teasing that the documentary will come out somewhere in 2023. The trailer has promised a detailed dive into the legend’s life and never before seen footage of his cameos in movies.
However, it is also expected that the documentary will feature some exclusive interviews with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans, to tell stories about their time working with Stan Lee. It is also anticipated that the documentary will reveal some never-before-known tidbits about the life and work of Stan ‘Excelsior’ Lee.
