What was once intended for more significant roles in FromSoftware’s vision has ignited discussions about untold secrets in the expansive Lands Between. Data miners have dug deep and have brought to light a tale that would have otherwise been left unspoken.

FromSoftware cut a sword from Elden Ring

An Elden Ring enthusiast recently discovered a weapon that the game’s final version had omitted. Although data-mined images had previously introduced this sword to the community, it remained elusive within the actual game. This revelation took place 18 months after the game’s release. While the sword was first identified by data miners, Youtuber Ziostorm was the first one to document it for players to see.

While Ziostorm identified the weapon, it was a passionate player who discovered it in the game, known as @Pinopinisimo on Twitter. This player came across the sword within a collection of gravestone swords scattered throughout the game world. In the tweet, they stated, “I had that sword stuck in my head for weeks after I watched your video, so you can imagine how I jumped from my chair when I noticed it.”
