BlizzCon is at the center of discussions across the community right now and Spencer’s claims will only attract more attention to Blizzard‘s annual gaming event.

Phil Spencer indicates that good things are to come Blizzard’s way

At BlizzCon, Microsoft is a significant name floating in the air. Fans are excited to know what the event will unveil about the studio’s plans and how Xbox will become a pivotal factor in the whole thing. Xbox Chief Phil Spencer thinks that ensuring Blizzard’s uniqueness is essential for all the stakeholders. Spencer also stated that Microsoft is “going to empower our new colleagues” so that the studio can continue doing its job in the most efficient way possible.

While Activision-Blizzard has established itself as one of the leaders in the gaming industry, not all its titles are equally popular. The studio launched the much-awaited Diablo 4 earlier this year. The platformer was incredibly hyped before its official launch, but recent weeks saw it experiencing fewer players than ever before. With the Season 2 Season of Blood updates, Blizzard looks to regain its player base once again.

Along with that, Overwatch 2 was met with severe backlash from the community after its launch in 2022. The community alleged that the game didn’t have enough new material compared to its predecessor. It was slammed as being essentially an Overwatch 1.1 patch update. Several promised game modes weren’t ultimately delivered and fans claimed the game was nothing more than Overwatch 1 with slightly better visuals and cosmetics. With the Xbox boss’ claims, fans will be eager to see how Blizzard revamps itself in the coming years.

After the Microsoft-Activision deal received the green signal, the Xbox boss has been spending his days playing games to keep him occupied. In a recent podcast, he was heard saying how he’s enjoying Lies of P and thinks the game is a great addition to the Xbox Game Pass.
