Activision Blizzard has recently announced Second Financial Results for the Second Quarter of 2023, which clearly reveals the game’s downgrade.

Although publishers are rooting for an upcoming major update, Overwatch 2: Invasion. According to them, this paid PvE DLC will bring back the glory days of Overwatch and compensate for the financial loss the company has faced during the second quarter of 2023 due to Overwatch 2. The major reason for this decline can be considered, is the lack of new resources. The game failed to engage its consumers with regular updates, new features, fixing the glitches and bugs, upgradation of visuals and, a new hero introduction. The absence of these certain aspects made the game boring and monotonous. The highly wanted PvE Hero mode is also canceled, which has declined the game deeper.

Although this DLC update will be behind a paywall. This decision has made fans disappointed to a certain extent. Activision is facing harsh criticisms for this, as this was their only way of revival but the revival seems to be coming for a price.
