A couple of years back, the console community saw itself ushering into the age of the next-gen era. With the release of Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation the race to remaster and offer next-gen upgrades took prominence. Now even Rockstar Games has boarded that train with the GTA V next-gen release.

GTA V is getting more content thanks to the next-gen push
A recent rating report by ESRB, reveals the title is going to receive more content sometime in 2022. The push for the next-gen upgrades on the console may have played a key role in inciting this move, as the studio is still adamant about churning out more content. Clearly, this hasn’t sat well with the fans, as the RPG game is on the cusp of completing a decade of its life cycle.

Fans aren’t reacting well to these leaks, as the studio has still offered no information about the next major sequel. One fan in a hilarious way took aim at the studio by presenting an idea about releasing the game again on the Nintendo switch.

Many believe that it is about time the studio comes up with a way to port your character profile from one platform to another. No one would want to start from scratch after grinding for years with one character.

I hope this does not involve character transfer. Team PC here and my Primary GTA Online character is only 31 levels away from reaching 1000.

These minor content upgrades should release with no price attached. However, it does not seem like the studio is going to go that route, and it will certainly upset the fanbase.
Buying the same game, again and again, is not a wise move, and fans might not support the game anymore.
