It’s been over five years since the release of the Nintendo Switch, while it’s only two years for PlayStation 5. Undoubtedly, the Switch has been in the market for a longer period, meaning it had more sales than PlayStation 5. Further, reports suggest Switch has sold 111.08 million units, while PS5 has sold 21.7 million units.

The Switch has been the best-selling console in the market. As a result, it was hard for the Japanese giants to meet the massive demand for the hybrid console system. This shortage of stock acted as the kryptonite for Nintendo’s supremacy in the United Kingdom.

An insider recently revealed a 56 percent increment in the stocks of PlayStation 5. So, Sony would have more consoles than Nintendo to sell in the UK. Undoubtedly, it would greatly impact the stats for the consoles in that country. So, it wouldn’t be wrong to say PlayStation 5 would be the best-selling console in the United Kingdom, as more stocks would result in more sales.

Moreover, there is a possibility for PlayStation 5 to be on the throne for “the best-selling console.” The latest PlayStation has been in huge demand since its release. But now, when they have the stocks, it will only attract the eagerly waiting fans to grab one for them.
