However, recent reports have revealed a piece of good news regarding the PlayStation 5. According to the latest information, the next-gen console from Sony witnessed a great run last month in terms of sales, despite the unavailability of stocks.

PlayStation 5 sees a 10 percent rise in sales in May 2022 in the UK

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the PS5 saw is currently in the third spot in terms of being the top-selling console of the year. However, May turned out to be a boon for the device as it witnessed a 10 percent jump in sales in the UK. Yes, the stocks were low but the overall interest of the buyers for the product managed to help it gain a much-needed push.

To be precise, the last month was comparatively better than April for the PlayStation 5 in the UK.

On the other hand, another console in Xbox Series X had a decent month in May. Sales for Microsoft’s latest generation of devices were 58 percent up month-on-month.

In total, console sales were up 16 percent in the last month, which is positive news in general for all the manufacturers.

Thanks to the success of the PlayStation 5, the DualSense controller, in white color, also saw a further boost in its sales in the UK. It maintained its top spot compared to other color variants.
