Who is leading the sales chart between PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch?

According to a report by VGchartz, the three consoles have been going budding heads n the global market. Some regions have put a console in front of the other, and the same story repeats everywhere else. In terms of global sales, PS5 is in the pole position, as the device has managed to sell over 10 million units worldwide. Meanwhile, Nintendo’s Switch stands as a distant second with over 7 million units sold. Lastly, Xbox is standing in the third position with nearly 6 million units sold worldwide.

However, the sales record of each specific region in the US, Japan, and Europe tells a different story altogether. PS5 continues to reign supreme in the American market with 3.7 million units sold. Nintendo’s Switch stands in the second position with 2.9 million, and Xbox Series X/S in the third position with 2.6 million units sold.

On the other hand, Nintendo’s Switch is still the most popular device in the Japanese market. The Japanese studio has managed to sell over 2 million units, while PS5 struggles to cross the 1 million mark with 800k units sold. Lastly, Xbox Series X/S stood in the third position with only 62k units sold.
