PlayStation Announces State of Play and Confirms Focus on Indie and Third Party Titles- “Something for Everyone”

The Sony PlayStation has always been a treat for all of us. This console has set a benchmark in the gaming industry. And it seems that the $105 billion company behind the device is far from done. Sony has just announced a new showcase, which will take place tomorrow.

Fans can surely expect some exciting updates and announcements regarding upcoming games.

Another PlayStation State of Play is to be held

Sony usually organizes State of Play events to reveal important updates regarding upcoming PlayStation 5 games. Although this showcase is different from the larger PlayStation Showcase, The State of Play showcase mainly focuses on smaller titles, with a maximum of one or two AAA titles. In April, we got a glimpse of Final Fantasy 16 when it took center stage at the State of Play. Two months later, this highly anticipated JRPG was released.

This year’s edition promises “something for everyone.” With indie and third-party titles taking center stage, fans are hyped.

And this hype was further fueled by the PlayStation Showcase in June, which featured updates regarding some premium titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Meta Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, and many more.

This state of play will be a bit different this time. Unlike focusing on upcoming titles like past editions or PlayStation Showcase, this State of Play will mainly focus on previously announced titles, indie titles, and major AAA titles from third-party partners.

Not only that, but this highly anticipated event will also talk about PlayStation VR games.
