This year is turning out to be an unpredictable one so far as fans have already witnessed various events unfolding. Now a latest rumor has created a fresh buzz on social media regarding Sony’s PlayStation Studios as well as Hideo Kojima.

Recently, it was observed on the main website of PlayStation Studios that the banner of its in-house games also featured an image from Death Stranding. What’s interesting to note here is that the title belongs to a third-party studio which is Kojima’s own developing studio.

And since it was showing up on PS Studios’ page, the news soon spread out like wildfire across the internet, giving rise to multiple speculations. The obvious one being that Sony may have actually bought Death Stranding’s Kojima Productions already.

It’s already known that Hideo Kojima has worked with PlayStation closely in the past. His most recent collaboration being Death Stranding, which was initially released in 2019 for Sony’s PS4. Later, it also received a Director’s Cut edition last year, once again being prioritized for PS4 and the newest Ps5.

As reported by VGC, it recently noticed that Death Stranding was showing up on PS studios’ online page among its family of in-house games. Surprisingly though, the image was later replaced by a different title’s picture. Now it may imply that something might be going on between Kojima Productions and Sony.

But again, nothing is fully confirmed or specified in any way at the moment.
