The inventor, also known as the father, of iconic gaming console PlayStation, Ken Kutaragi, shared his future plans and more in a recent interview. Ken Kutaragi created the iconic PlayStation, which was initially released way back in the year 1994. Now, he works at Ascent Robotics Inc. as the company’s chief executive officer.

Nowadays, a lot of global tech giants have been researching and investing heavily in Metaverse. Recently, the legendary PlayStation creator shares his views on Metaverse.

Kutaragi does not hold the Metaverse in high regard and believes that the real world presence is of utmost importance. Moreover, Ken also shared that Metaverse is all about digital avatars in a virtual world and Ken thinks that there’s not any good reason for doing that.

Undoubtedly, the legendary creator is not a fan of the Metaverse technology, but he does have his reasons. The 71-year-old has also expressed his views about the Metaverse as a dividing element rather than a unifying one.

I’m 71 and time is short.” And the CEO also shared that they are working on a technology to enhance the company’s overall robotics system. Moreover, this technology will allow the robotic system to translate real-life objects into computer-readable language. This will allow robots to perform different actions and tasks.

Ken Kutaragi also shared that he is not a fan of all these tech giants like Apple Inc., PlayStation, and similar other companies investing in VR headsets and all. Ken also says that these VR headsets will cut off people from real life and it’s something that’s unacceptable. Moreover, Ken has also described these VR headsets as annoying.
