As mentioned in SKizzleAXE‘s video, the analyst recently appeared on the RDX podcast show. And while discussing about the future of consoles, he said:
“I think PlayStation is doomed and I think they’re going to cease to exist as we know them in about ten years. They can’t compete. They have no chance of competing. They’re not a couple of years behind, it’s an insurmountable lead.”

It seems like Pachter thinks Microsoft’s Xbox will emerge victorious against Sony’s PlayStation in a decade.
Well, considering this year’s big announcement of Microsoft making a deal with Activision, one can say that it’s definitely a possibility. But still, it doesn’t mean Sony is miles behind. Unless Xbox gets a supremely invincible first-party blockbuster for itself, PlayStation won’t end up receiving a massive defeat.
Yet, for a moment, when considering the prediction, Xbox might gain an upper hand later this year. Especially with the first-party exclusive and highly anticipated open-world RPG, Starfield. The latter is set to come out on November 11, 2022, for PC and Xbox only.
