On 25th Nov 2021, Famitsu announced that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has sold over 1.3 million copies in Japan. In fact, the game achieved these sales figures within just three days of the release from 19th to 21st Nov 2021. And by achieving these figures, this game has for sure created history in Japan. It’s a proud moment for the devs as they have achieved a significant milestone.
This reflects that fans in Japan just can’t stop enjoying this game. And the above figures don’t include sales from the official Nintendo website. These figures only include sales from physical sales and download cards sold across retail stores in Japan. And it’s not just this game, the sales of Nintendo Switch consoles are also booming in Japan. It’s expected that the sales will continue to grow during the Christmas and upcoming festival season.
