Pokemon Go players take to the streets very seriously. The game requires players to look for wild Pokemons on the go and attempt their luck trying to capture them. Hence, fans can be found at random street corners trying to find yet another Pokemon to train. However, one such fan recently was faced with a rather scary situation and had to take evasive actions despite being just another Pokemon Go connoisseur.

While the Pokemon Go player managed to escape the scene without any scratches, the experience was jarring and things could have easily taken a wrong turn at any moment. With the Pokemon Harvest Festival event on, players are rushing to grab as many wild Pokemons as they can, such instances could well be done without!

In the Reddit group r/pokemongo, one Redditor shared a recent scary experience they had at a church premises. The fan was parked on a church ground while trying to find a Gengar that they had noticed nearby. The ghost-type Pokemon is a favorite within the community and is highly revered as part of the first generation of Pokemon. While searching for the sneaky poisonous Pokemon, the player was suddenly confronted by a person and it wasn’t a friendly one either.

The stranger revealed that was carrying a weapon and suggested that the player leave the church premises. After being informed that the Redditor was just playing a game, the stranger claimed he didn’t care and would resort to further hostility if the Pokemon Go player didn’t comply.

Reports Surface of Pokemon Content Creators Getting Banned Without Any Explanation

Naturally, the player felt threatened and left the church grounds without much deliberation. However, luckily, the Pokemon fan didn’t leave things as they were and reached out to the police who took over the matter and managed to identify the perpetrator. However, after leaving the scene unscathed, the community member urged their comrades to make sure they take their safety seriously when playing Pokemon Go on the streets.

The community comes forward to provide comfort

Since the upsetting experience was shared online, the Pokemon Go community came forward to lend a caring shoulder to the scarred fan. Along with furnishing the fan with comfort, the community also shared similar experiences. One community member is happy to know that the fan in question was able to keep away from any trouble.
