Pokemon is an iconic name in the industry. From anime to video games, both Pokemon and Digimon dominated the plot line for long. In the amusing world of RPGs, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet both appeared as Nintendo‘s dominant games. Developed by Game Freak, these games were the first installment in the ninth-generation Pokemon franchise. 

In the set-up of an open-world environment, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet offered separate stories with 110 new Pokemon characters. These games were so popular that it helped in Switch’s popularity in the market. 

Is a DLC brewing for Pokemon fans?

Following their popularity, both of these Pokemon games offered an impressive gaming experience to many. However, it seemed that developers planned to expand the horizon of adventure for the players. Both Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will probably release their brand-new Deluxe Editions.

Although the news brewed quite some excitement among gamers, there was no concrete announcement from developers. Recently, Nintendo confirmed that they are definitely making bigger adventure plans for the players. According to Nintendo’s official website, both of the Pokemon games will add two more parts named The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk respectively. Nintendo also published that part 1 will release probably during 2023’s fall. They will most likely release the second part in Winter. 

What to expect from the DLC versions

Apart from the initial details, a leak suggested that these Pokemon games will feature some popular characters making their return to the franchise. Although this is not unusual for modern video games, fans were excited as Pokemon Violet and Pokemon Scarlet might take influences from Legends: Arcehus. This leak was confirmed by one of the reliable Pokemon leakers Riddler Khu, who spilled the beans to his followers. Apart from one of the characters taking extra roles in the DLC, Khu also suggested how the deluxe edition might be a remake of Legends: Archeus, an old and immensely popular game in the Pokemon franchise.

Nintendo Announces Two DLCs for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Coming Toward the End of 2023

From Nintendo’s website, it is confirmed that in The Teal Mask, players will go on a school trip for checking a fictional town named Moussui. Here the players will probably participate in mask Festivals. For the second part, Players will perform as an exchange student at Blueberry Academy. Players have to cross the Terrarium Dome for catching a variety of Pokemon in different climates and ecosystems. 

Despite the leak, fans are left in great anticipation about its success. To know whether it finally matches up to the fans’ expectations, we have to wait till it releases.
