Poki posted a tweet where she mentioned she was attending a party when a guy comes up to her to ask her name.

Poki fans are already aware of their role model’s kindness and sweet nature; thus, naturally, she answered the guy and said, Imane. Shockingly, the guy mistakes Poki’s name as ‘Elon’. Although Pokimane tried to pronounce it more easily for him to understand, he replied, “elon?! like elon musk?!”

After this incident, Poki confirmed she was very close to filing for a legal name change. Indeed, her fans were also shocked after hearing about this incident about Poki on Twitter. One fan said, ” Elon and Imane don’t sound the same at all. You would of been better off just saying Pokimane.”
