She took the place as the No.1 female streamer back in April 2021, removing Pokimane from her throne. But reaching the top didn’t make life any easier for her. The new level of attention that she got only increased her problems. 

How did fame affect Amouranth?

After hitting the No. 1 spot, she faced a lot of hardships. One month after her triumph, Twitch decided to remove all monetized ads from her channel. Though this action was later reversed, she had faced quite a lot of damage to her income. But that’s not all!

This person was living under the illusion that he was engaged to her. He actually took a flight to meet her. Even though she had cleared the misconceptions, he kept on messaging her. He became an obsessed stalker. After reaching, he even asked her to visit him at his hotel and kept pestering her by asking why she was avoiding him despite them being engaged. In 2017, a fan had the audacity to order her to cancel her stream just because, “he was in town”. Implying that she should go meet him instead of streaming at that time. She dismissed him by saying, “I don’t think so”. 

In August 2021, Amouranth revealed that there was a terrifying arson attempt on her home. Luckily, no one was hurt, but that doesn’t change the fact that she puts her life on the line by having a public presence. The limelight may look pretty from a distance, but in reality, it is equally terrifying.
