MrBeast has been the biggest successful story in the entertainment industry in recent years. However, as the belief goes, every step of success brings its own set of challenges. Apparently, the YouTube King hasn’t been excused from the ‘law’. While the creator has always made the effort to be more than just an entertainer, a bunch of social media critics have constantly discarded the effort. But why is there so much hate and criticism around MrBeast ‘the philanthropist’ and more importantly how does the creator respond to the hate on his philanthropic ventures?

There’s hardly a YouTube record MrBeast hasn’t broken in his journey as a creator. Recently, the creator reached the 200 Million subscriber mark surpassing all the projections that had speculated the same by the end of the year. Getting one step closer to dethroning T-Series as the ‘Most Subscribed YouTube Channel’ globally, the creator seems unstoppable. Not just on YouTube, his numbers on other social media platforms testify to his dominance in the mainstream entertainment realm. Unfortunately, this has also made him the most common target of ‘internet critics’ and for a rather shocking reason!

The vision of the creator has always made him stand out from the other mainstream creators on the platform. Beast Philanthropy is one such visionary venture under Jimmy’s brand that has earned him the title of ‘Golden Heart’. For those unaware Jimmy has been running a Philanthropy initiative that goes by the name of Beast Philanthropy. It all started back in 2017 when the creator received his first big YouTube sponsorship deal of $10,000 in 2017. Jimmy asked himself, “How can I transform this money into something good?”. Well, that’s how Beast Philanthropy was born.

There’s a saying it all starts with an individual deciding to bring a change. The journey of Beast philanthropy has been a living example of how one can make the world a better place at will. Also, the creator runs a Beast Pantry that has fed over 1,652,630 needy people. Surprisingly, not all internet users have been happy with the work Jimmy has done as a philanthropist. Over the years, his philanthropy videos have been brought under hard scrutiny for various reasons. It has invited a serious series of hatred against the creator.

What’s the hatred about?

All the hatred started coming under the limelight when Jimmy released a video in which he tried to give sight to 1,000 blind people by paying for their surgeries. The allegations made against the efforts claimed the creator was misusing blind people for the sake of views. These range from critiquing the selected deed to labeling these attempts phony or overstated.  Ever since then, the criticism seems to persist on every philanthropic feature MrBeast uploaded on the platform.

Jimmy has always welcomed constructive criticism of his entertainment content, but he typically stays silent in the face of such insane hostility. However, on some rare days, we catch the creator breaking silence on the bizarre series of criticisms.

MrBeast’s way of dealing with ‘Internet Critics’

If you’re a MrBeast fan, you know that the creator is mostly too busy to give his attention to controversies and hatred. Moreover, rather than dedicating his time to respond to senseless criticism, the YouTuber prefers working on his ‘pursuit of perfection’. In a panel discussion in September this year, Jimmy was asked about the increasing hatred of his charity videos. Responding to this the creator reveals why he avoids giving so much importance to the ‘internet critics’.

As long as I think what I’m doing is good and right, helping people. Obviously the scale of our views, of course, some sub-section is gonna be mad. At that number it’s just inevitable that people will be unhappy”, the YouTuber stated in his answer.

Recently, the creator released another charity feature where he pledges to power a helpless village in Africa. While the heartwarming video took the internet by storm, it couldn’t keep away the alleged ‘critics of Beast Philanthropy’. But this time the creator had a message ready for them before they guarded their weapons of hate. Taking to his X account the creator wrote, “I already know I’m gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.”

Of course, as a creator making such overwhelming efforts to give back to the community and receiving a fair share of hatred in return is heartbreaking. Fortunately, Jimmy has kept his priorities set and has refrained from giving any importance to the social media callouts against his charity. Eventually, the creator knows the hatred when compared to the love he receives each day stands nowhere close.
