Mother finds an ‘innovative’ solution to a common problem

In a recent clip gone viral on Twitter, an Australian mother has found an alternative for her child’s hydration problem. She said her son is fussy about drinking water and doesn’t like the taste of plain water. She had an ingenious idea for mixing a water cooler and Prime energy drinks. To execute this, she ordered a new water cooler and a bulk supply of Prime energy drinks.

In her TikTok, the mother fills up the water canister with Prime. This looked like an arduous task, but she completed it. The main focus for the mother to do this was the school holidays of her child. “With the school holidays, he doesn’t even have to go out of his room to get a drink,” the mother said.

Multiple Australian schools have banned the drink due to it crossing the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) legal limit. The accepted limit for caffeine in the drinks was 32mg per 100ml, while Prime contains about 56mg per 100ml.

Many stores in Australia have limited the drinks to children aged 15 and above only. With dieticians calling the drink an ‘addictive substance’, Prime drink is surely getting a bad name in Australia.
