The most expensive gun skin in CS:GO

Before the much-awaited launch of CS2, players are trying to get their hands on as many expensive CS:GO skins as they can. Valve may remove the skins of CS:GO and bring new skins for CS2 once they release the sequel. While they may also decide to keep the skins in the shop of CS2, the price sure will be increasing.

Jake Lucky gave proof of this price spike. He recently shared the skin and knife combo that was bought for $500,000 by a Chinese collector. CS:GO trader and streamer zipeL worked as the intermediary for the deal, negotiating a purchase from the former owner, Luksusbums. This enormous transaction was still the second-biggest transaction in the game, surprisingly.

Is the blue color worth $400,000?

While casual watchers would be having the question mentioned above in mind, there are a lot of factors that make the gun. The AK-47 skin is the most expensive in its department right now. It has ‘Minimal Wear’ condition, the best available right now, as ‘Factory New’ is still not available for this gun skin.

The gun features pattern 661, said to be the best pattern among the CS:GO skins. What drives the price of the gun skin even higher is it has four Katowice 2014 Titan Holo stickers on it. Each sticker is worth $60,000.

Talking about the knife, it went for only $100,000 because it was in ‘Well Worn’ condition, not ‘Factory New’. The Factory new Karambit skin is the most unique item right now in CS:GO with only one available in the whole world. The owner of this knife has not sold the knife yet, even turning down offers up to $1.5 million.

While the knife may be the most expensive item, the AK-47 is likely to be the most valuable cash trade in CS:GO history.
